Children’s Dentistry

As childhood is such an important period of time in a person’s dental history we know how important it is to get dental care right from the start. Although children will lose their ‘milk’ teeth it’s still incredibly important to look after those first teeth.

At Dentistry 442 we encourage parents to bring children from the age of twelve months, but if you’re anxious about how well your child will settle in a new environment we suggest you bring them along to your own dental check ups to give them a gentle introduction to visiting the dentist.

It’s important to encourage your child to brush at least twice a day, parents are encouraged to supervise and support their child with brushing to the age of 8. Though it can still be worth parents doing a final brush to make sure hard to reach teeth are also cleaned. To help you and your child develop the best dental routine we can offer advice and preventive treatments.

Your child’s first appointment is all about understanding their dental health and helping parents learn how best to help children achieve good oral health. It’s worth noting that we’ll discuss your child’s dental habits and medical history at their initial appointment.
